The 2014 St. Augustine Writers Conference will be held in a beautiful, multi-story home just steps from the Atlantic Ocean. With 360 degree views of the ocean and river, it is a place that inspires. Vilano Beach, the conference locale, is a five minute drive from St. Augustine’s Historic District. Participants can choose to stay on Vilano Beach or in town. There is abundant on-sight conference parking. For people staying at the inns listed here, there will be a shuttle to and from Vilano Town Center to the conference, which is less than a mile away. Additionally, there are beach houses and condos for rent–an economical choice if several people rent together. Vilano Town Center is within a very short walking distance to the ocean, the river, a fishing pier, a Publix grocery store, good restaurants (Italian, Chinese, Mexican, seafood, and more), shopping, and drinking establishments. Many of the inns are oceanfront and/or have pools.
